"KAMI ANG XIISTEMA"

This is XIISTEMA
A wonderful collection of unique students with talent, courage, skill, intelligence, creativity, compassion, dreams, and aspiration.

"They accept constructive criticism and use it to improve their performances. I admire this batch."
-Ms. Maria Cristina Pagaoa, Class President

"A community of excellent students whose goal is to achieve their dreams and aspirations after finishing their study. They're also the people whom you can give work/assigned tasks yet they'll still accomplish within the given time."
-Ms. Nica Lo, General Biology Teacher And Class Adviser

"The students are very assertive in giving their insights and opinions towards certain issues or topics. I enjoy being in this class!"
-Mrs Jovelyn L. Espino, Reading & Writing Teacher

"STEM A has talent and potential. One would be amazed to know the extraordinary things they can do as individuals and as a whole class. The only problem with them is that most of the time they do not realize what they truly are, exceptional students."
-Mr. Royce Allen Rañeses, Physics Teacher

"STEM A, basically the cream of the crop in the Grade 12 students. One thing with this section is they never be shy on asking questions. They are the group of students who always re-validate every idea and fact from the lesson. They do not just accept the concepts from lectures. They try to analyze to test the validity of it. Aside from that, critical thinking is also observed."
-Mr. Jose Louie Tuvieron Dagohoy, Practial Research Teacher

A Day In The Life Of STEM-A Students

Writer's picture: XIISTEMAXIISTEMA

-Rashima P. Mohammad "Uy STEM oh!" "Hahaha STEM-A, mga seryoso kasi kayo." "Masaya ba sa STEM A?" "Nagsasaya pa ba kayo? Walang ginawa kun'di aral" "Puro kayo aral" "Lagi kayong busy"

These are just some of the words/phrases some students or teachers used to tell and ask us. Well for everyone's knowledge, it isn't just about that. Come with me and together let's venture a world behind STEM-A. Woke up 4:00 in the morning. Ate breakfast by 5:00 A.M., already prepared by 6:00 A.M. and headed to school as early as possible. Thereafter, goes directly to a room filled with 39 diverse students. Room of STEM A.

As you enter, the smiles on their faces with morning greetings will be the first thing welcoming you. What a nice start of the day! You'll see each and every one having their own stuff to do, minding and doing their own business. Some are with their gadgets, some are having chitchats with one another, cracking jokes and laughing. Everyone is just so loud. There are some who roams around and seems like a supervisor. And there are also times wherein you'll see everyone in the midst of procrastinating. (Lol!) This is the time where you're about to enter the room, it's so quiet and you would think there's a teacher inside already but then everyone is just in a rush and focusing to finish their stuff. Clock strikes 7:00 A.M.! The teacher enters the room and the class is about to start. Then here goes one of your classmates, running hurriedly towards the door, panting and saying "Good morning Ma'am! Good morning classmates! I'm sorry I'm late. May I come in?" During discussion, everyone is so eager to learn new things. You'll see that each one is very enthusiastic to listen and participate in the class discussion. Some aren't shy to clear things and ask questions if they weren't able to get it. As what one of our teachers said, "STEM A, basically the crème of the crop in the Grade 12 students. One thing with this section is they never be shy on asking questions. They are the group of students who always revalidate every ideas and facts from the lesson. They do not just accept the concepts from lectures. They try to analyzed to test the validity of it. Aside from that critical thinking is also observed. The way you analyzed and receive facts and concepts" - Mr. Jose Louie Tuvieron Dagohoy But aside from that, little did other students and teachers know, STEM A are also student antics. Every discussion is not a normal discussion. There are always jokes popping out of nowhere. Sometimes it became something that the teacher didn't plan to. I may also say that every discussion we have in STEM A is like a roller coaster ride. There are also ups and downs. When you are at the peak, this is the time where the students are very active and enthusiastic. Everyone is so "pabibo". If there's a peak, of course there will be a through or bottom. This is the time where the students are all "sabog" and "lutang". I think this is what the the teachers hate the most. Students aren't in the mood to listen. Each students were venturing their own world. In this moment you'll able to recognize who slept late at night. They are the ones who were sleeping in the corner right in the middle of discussion. See? Hahaha STEM-A isn't that ideal students everyone thought we are.

Recess time! Lunch time! It's break time! Everyone's one of the favorite part of the day. Here comes the thick faces food parasites who keeps on asking for your foods until the last bite as if they have no allowance to buy their own. (Hahha lol just kidding) Break time is sometimes also for STEM-A's cramming time while jamming time! I think this is one of the things I Iike about STEM-A. Everyone's cramming yet they still have time to jam. Everybody's singing while trying to finish as fast as they can do. You can see that there's enjoyment in struggling! Go STEM-A! Fighting! But of course jokers will always be present. In the midst of doing something, someone will just suddenly shout and crack his/her jokes. Then the class will be so loud! Some are supporting but mostly bashing the jokes. (Hahaha!) Dismissal time! The time where everyone have to parted ways whether we like it or not. But then again, tomfooleries will always be there. From the beginning up to the last part of the day, the silliness never ends. But at least we parted with smiles on our faces. Regardless of what other may think or say. At the end of the day all that matters is love and memories we made.
